I use to go to the studio and the engineer and I were just chopping it up. This was around the time Kick Push by Lupe just came out ..and this is what he said.

"Man...years back when the Roc was killing it.Jay-Z and them came to Chicago to do a concert. I went out there and Jay-Z was out there killing it then out of no where he says .....ay...I got this new dude from Chicago im trying to sign....yall check him out. Jay-Z walked off stage and left this slim guy with glasses on the stage all by himself to rap. After a few words the crowd BOOOOOOOOOOOOED the shyt out of dude. That guy just happened to be a young Lupe Fiasco"

The funniest part is you already know how packed a Jay-Z concert is, then you just put an unknown dude on stage in the middle of your set while you take intermission. Left that man for the wolves.
