It started with DMX allegedly smashing Foxxy Brown whom Kurupt was with at the time. So he dissed him on Calling out names. He dissed Irv Gotti and Ja because Irv wanted to sign Daz hence the line "Trying to sign Daz, nikkah Daz will sign you"

Then he had a personal piece on XXL calling out all them. Weeks later one of Kurupts people got hit and Snoop had to intervien
