do something about it. There are laws that prevent these types of things. Jose and the two black dudes need to file reports. That's the only way shyt like this stops. My wife used to work for a VERY LARGE international construction company, one that had it's hand in iraq (some might know who i'm talking about). Needless to say she ran into this shyt (as a contractor) and raised flags, a VP with 26 years in the business was fired because of it.
Bottom line is that if you don't do shyt then the same shyt continues.

To me it sounds like men jesting one another, demonically Ive shared company with individuals like this. You crack demonic jokes about each others races but theres always one guy who is typically soft who does not understand the humor because his crutch is something embarrassing (like being gay). Overall these jokes should not take place but still, a real man does not write these tangents because men call one another names.
I'm sayin, I would have grabbed that dictionary and read the definition of "racist" to him. but it seems like this went a little beyond simple jesting between co-workers
issues with dress codes are everywhere. no matter how 'casual' it is, there's always gonna be a line drawn somewhere. you should be happy you don't have to wear some clown ass uniform or a monkey suit. but I don't know how his co-workers dress so I don't wanna get too far into that

while i get the whole, "men being men" thing, there are ways to do this and you don't do it to people who aren't cool with it. I could understand if "dude" was doing it back or such then maybe. He should have said something, "hey man i don't appreciate those types of comments" is really all it takes in most cases. If it continues then you need to up the anti. If it stops and he just does it to "his friends" well that's his prerogative to be an ass.
Point still stands, if you don't say shyt then really stop complaining.

Personally get a kick out of making people feel stupid for doing and saying stupid things. It's a hobby of mine. I tend to do it passive agressivley at first but if the "hint" isn't picked up on sometimes you just gotta speak your mind.
For instance I might have said, "so concerning your racist comments, do you work on them at home to make sure they're offensive or do they just come naturally to you?"
Now if he's a dikk and get's smart about it i'd outright tell him something like, "yeah well you need to quite this is a workplace not a bar."
Chances are he'd laugh on of those "i'm laughing because i'm uncomfortable laughs" then say something like, "oh i'm just playing" to which i'd say, well for some people that's not playing so why don't you stop.
or something like that. gotta speak up though.

It's f^cked up, but the thing is these dudes didn't dead it FROM THE JUMP. If they got approached with with that lame ish, they shoulda been on some stern, "That aint cool. I dont play around like that" etc, etc. They didn't, so now they gotta eat it. It's hard to change the game in the 9th inning.
