No one is without flaws or the perfect role model but come on now. Nipsey could have led millions to March in the streets. Mac was an average rapper who got respect for just not being bad on the mic. He was a variant jazz hop artist who wasn’t on some overt clown shyt.

Or am I hating?

Both are loved for different reasons.

Like you touched on it was Nips community action and wasn’t really music related,

But for me Mac and the music he made the last two years of his life was not only heartfelt but soulful. So many people can relate to feeling love, heartbroken, depressed, and dealing with addiction. He was relatable.

There’s nothing wrong with praising both for the impact they had socially or musically

Comparing these artists is kinda weird to me. They both passed away with their best retail album released . Mac grew on me a lot though. I didn’t really listen until like 2013

Mac fans don’t act like he was Nipsey. They just fukk with his music. Nobody has ever called him a community leader.

Musically speaking, Nipsey didn’t get his roses until he passed. Mac got them while he was alive.
