I'm American born and raised but my parents from there. So I can't speak as someone that directly was affected to the shyt. But long story short, the country's politics is tribal based. Provinces are influenced by certain tribes(Tigrays, Oromos, and Amharas got there own provinces) I dunno how rigid it is now as oppose to the beginning of the new regime but its extended to the point that a lot of racist shots get thrown in all directions, Tigrays, Amharas(especially
), Oromos, all groups that have vied for power for years.
To be honest, I'm still learning all the facts myself. But with reading and learning from my parents some of the shyt has to do with longtime racism in the country. Oromos are an important part of Ethiopian culture and history, but Amharas shyt on them and everyone else for not being "pure Ethiopians" and call them racial ephithets instead. To me, it isn't in the peoples best interest to dissolve the state as we know it. It started with Eritrea and they lookin like African North Korea, imagine the Ethiopia of today united with her northern family? Too much racism and negligence over the years destroying the country. But the issues are externally driven as much as they are internally.
