So here's my issue, I have an HTPC that's connected to my TV. But I spend 99% of my computer time on my laptop. Is it possible to download a .torrent file on the laptop and have the HTPC automatically start downloading the torrent to the HTPC's hard drive? Basically I'd like to have videos ready to be watched when I turn the HTPC on as opposed to turning it on, downloading the .torrent file, queuing it up on the HTPC, etc. Anyone have any knowledge on this?

If things are networked why not just download it to the HTPC drive from your laptop?

If you have a network set up when you run utorrent what ever devices are on the network will show up in the side panel, utorrent might prompt you to configure I think, aint used it in a while.
