and how the fuk do people even get new phones as quick? im on telus and there is no way in hell i would get a new phone only a year after i just bought one they would be charging me all types of fees plus the cost of the phone it would prob cost me like 1500 bucks

Sell your current phone. For instance Gazelle is offering $350 for my 4s (64 GB). Take that money and either buy out the remainder of your contract by paying the ETF, or buy your new phone outside of your contract for retail value.

Of course you would need the other $400 or so to make this happen

Also anyone who heard the rumor about the next iPhone costing $800 is an idiot and deserves to be laughed at. I'm sure the residents of this forum are better informed than the peasants I've seen discussing this on twitter, but still.

If you took good care of your iPhone 4S, you can get $500 from Amazon.com's Trade-In service. Gazelle is a pretty big rip-off, almost as bad as a pawn shop. Personally, I'd still use Craigslist and get $600 or more for that iPhone 4S, but if you get no buyers within the week, I'd sell it to Amazon if I were you.
