he got life. 20 years is the minimum of what he will have to serve but after what he did it is unlikely that he will be released after that.

The reasons are several
1 one set of idiot politicians (conservative government similar to republicans ) decided in their infinate wisdom to close all the old lunatic asylums to save money in the guise of caring , and replace it with 'care in the community', the 'care' consists of drugging mentally ill and other anti socials with psychiatric drugs of dubious effectiveness, that can do all sorts of fukked up shyt to someones already damaged brain chemistry, and then expecting the local community,their neighbours ,their families ,social services and the police to be psychiatric nurses.
2 another idiot set of politicians (labour party roughtly equvilent to the democrats as well as the conservatives before them ,but mainly the labour party to blame for this ) ,decided in their infinate wisdom to park huge numbers of people on welfare and higher education too fiddle the employment figures ,whether they were actually sick or intelligent enough to go to university or not.
3 This current set of idiot politicians (conservatives) have decided the welfare bill is obviously too large, so they are going to throw people off them, and use a private company ATOS that was banned in several states in the Unitied states because they used unethical practices , ,the examiners who work for them are not all medical doctors some are midwives or physio therapists, dietcians , to decide if someone is fit to work or not.,rather than use actual doctors and examine medical records ,trusting opinions of their own doctors. Mentally ill ,people with mild retardation, or just plain odd, the types in the past who would never be expected to work are particularly at risk, especially as some do not even realise they are ill, so will even tell the examiners they are fit and their doctors are talking shyt.
This guy it seems, was more than happy to put a uniform on and threaten women with fire hydrants, it was probably a dream come true for him, and unfortunately this poor lady was a victim of our stupid politicians. My dog would do a better job running this country ,than any of them.

eh, maybe maybe not, our judical and prison system as well as our politicians are much too liberal when it comes to crimes of violence or murder, you would be surprised how quick it could be before this guy is put in an open prison and allowed out on day release, There are two complete psychos who have escaped in the last two days, from such places, both in for very violent murders. Anyone who batters someone to death with a fire hydrant, unless it was very exceptional circumstances,should either be hung, declared criminally insane and sent to an asylum for the rest of his life, or given life without parole.
dude scared a lady days before when he showed up at her door with an extinguisher talking about "i'm here to put out your fire"....and there was no fire.
