From 2006, Steiner had just entered TNA and proceeded to continuously ether the then undefeated Samoa Joe on the mic.






After a few run-ins the match was made, a match so epic it made Mike Tenay and Don West do this:

THATS A VEIN JOE, SOMETHING YOU DON'T HAVE YOU FAT b*stard

Not GOAT but It was VERY dope. This feud and the Sabu match had Joe white hot. If not for Sting he would have been champ at BFG 06. Probably should have been since Sting dropped it so quick(thanks russo)

They could've made it work putting it off, but they put it off for like 2 years. TNA at the time is maybe the best wrestling show post-Smackdown 6, to see the decline was sad. That was the last time I felt really into wrestling.

Angle had just signed.
Christian had just turned heel on Sting(but we never got a match, that should have been at BFG)
Joe was at his hottest.
Team 3D, AMW, Styles/Daniels, & LAX had the tag division on FIRE!!!

And people were loving it, drew 3600 in Detroit.

I didn't watch the really early ppv only stuff, but Russo was gone for a while and then they brought him back after BFG 06 for whatever reason, as I udnerstand it.

I don't hate Russo, but bringing him in fukked up the more realtistic feel of the show they had going. Sting vs Abyss with Abyss' mom and all that right after he came in felt noticeably different from the stuff they were doing for the rest of 06.


^^^TNA just launched their Network with all the good 05-06 shows, TSC should do a watch party for one of them.
