Am I the only one not seeing a cant miss prospect?

Starting to think its more group think than reality.

Scoot is advanced and well built for his age but doesn’t compare athletically to guys like Rose, Morant, Wall that he’s being compared to. Solidly built but only 6’2”. Not a great shooter. Okay mid range and bad from 3 and honestly hasn’t really shown to finish great at rim in gleague either.

Gleague is a growns man league that a player like Saban Lee can dominate. Still hard to gauge Ignite player’s development because the two best prospects Green and Kuminga haven’t progressed like you would have liked so far in NBA

Wembanyama is a freak. Unicorn. Built in a lab

Miller is the most valuable archtype in NBA. 6’8-9 wing scorer with length

What makes Scoot better than Thompson twins?

I see a more athletic Bledsoe:yeshrug:
I may be off base but just not seeing consensus #2 pick

I think him being the consensus #2 or 3 in the class with Victor has overhyped him a lil

From what I saw I think he has a chance to be a star but I don’t see generational like people were saying

I think Brandon Miller is a better prospect and has been for some time now tbh …Scoot kind of got attached to Wemby somehow and he’s been riding that wave since but if it was between a multi-versed wing sized player and a guard I’m going wing every time

Some people say his wingspan is more important than his height.

There are people who say he’s too much of a midrange guy. But if he makes them consistently it’s not a bad thing. Most seem to agree that he’s an athletic freak. And if he’s going to make defenses collapse onto him in the paint, that can open up a lot of things for his teammates.

Maybe he’s the #3 or #4 guy in this draft. I don’t think you pass on him beyond that though.

Scoot's hype is based on him jumping early to G-League.

What aids him in being the 2nd pick is that this draft is heavy on wings and he's probably the best PG prospect in a very weak class now AND next year. Scoot has had a weird year that has been saved by the fact that nobody is really paying attention to the Ignite. Scoot doing this for a college team would lump him in with Nick Smith, Terquavion Smith, etc.

That said, there are teams who will be in the top 3 who need a floor general who will need him as much as Wemby. I'll still maintain that Detroit has no business selecting either of them unless they wanna rearrange all of their furniture.

We as a people should no longer hype athletic point guards if we are moving to the rings>>>> everything category.

No athletic point guard has ever won a title

I understand Scoot not making a lot of sense, but why the hell would Wemby be a problem? He'd slot right in with what they're trying to build.

Anyone drafting an American is doing themselves a disservice

I wouldn't take an American in the 1st round. Sport has passed them by

This isn't the NFL or an all you can eat contest. You're asking to be a treadmill team if you're building around Americans

Funny how times have changed lol

You may be right. When was the last time there was an american all star drafted in the 1st round? Anthony Davis?
