Scientists say thru normal biological degradation, the average human would make it to 120 without their heart or brain just suddenly shutting off.

If we eliminate biological degradation, they say we would live to on average 9,000 years before random accidents would take us out.
That sounds almost biblical

Longer life isn’t a good thing. They are extending your breathing hours, not de-aging your cells.

It’s just more old people being a burden on the system.

We solved that. Either take more ice baths, pressurized oxygen chambers, and/or go in a sub 100 feet underwater for 100 days.

The AVERAGE was lower mostly because infant deaths were a lot more common.
Also because of stuff like war, poorer dental practices, diseases like polio, measles, etc., and the last reason that a lot of people never think about is that there was poorer sanitation in bygone days. Improved sanitation like cleaner water and better waste management techniques has greatly extended lives.

Two years ago scientist announced that by 2050 they will have solved the telimir (sp) issue and basically solved death.
