'OOPS!': Catholic school forced to coverSHOCKING statue

Blackfriars Priory School in Adelaide, Australia, last week unveiled a statue of St Dominic handing a boy a loaf of bread.

But the boy kneeling at the base of the statue has caused huge embarrassment for the inner-city school.

So bad was the reaction that a black cloth now covers the statue of the 12th century Spanish-born saint.

AWKWARD: The statue has had to be covered up
“Who the hell designed, approved and erected it and no one thought about it?”

Critic
The move came after students took inappropriate photos of the statue on Friday and it has now been completely cordoned off.

One critic wrote: “Who the hell designed, approved and erected it and no one thought about it?”

Several others wondered about the vetting process.

"Was there seriously no one who looked at this before it was installed?," another asked.

COVERED: The statue is no longer on display

Others were less critical, though.

A more sympathetic observer wrote: “He’s just giving the boy some bread.”

The Catholic school teaches boys from reception age to year 12 in Australia.
