I found out about this from an ad in one of my podcasts. Watched the first episode, this has great potential.

Just about to finish - one of the best shows of the year for me. I’ve been in my history bag lately so I’ve been trying to find a podcast about the Northern Ireland conflict in the 70s, 80s and 90s - it’s obviously a dramatised account as it’s based on a ‘true’ story but it’s a really good overview of the conflict during that period.

The IRA were going to war with the British state for real, going machine for machine with the Police and Army - they were fukking ruthless 😮‍💨

Will probably binge it this weekend if I can get the wife to watch.

this shyt was fire

100%. I’m surprised it’s not getting as much acclaim as it should be - I think it suffers from the same issue that Pachinko suffers from which is the studio behind it hasn’t pushed it enough.

How the two seemingly unconnected storylines of the Price sisters and Jean McConville came together at the end was really tight in terms of the writing - was genuinely a :ohhh:moment with the reveal that Marian was the one who killed her. They were planting that seed from early though when Brendan said he’s worried about the ones who don’t think twice before shooting after they pulled off the hospital job in the second episode.
