I just happen to catch that old white guy talking about how obama is in store for tryng times soon talking about the end of the bush cuts and the end of the draconian cuts and i know i wasnt hearing things because he seemed hesitant to say it


Wtf is he talkin about? I feel like a conspiracy theorist right now

Cliffnotes: The tax cuts that Bush put in place that Obama extended in order to get the debt ceiling raised is set to expire for all Americans. Obama wants to only allow them to expire for people making more than $250,000 a year.

Also, when the debt ceiling was raised, automatic spending cuts were put in place that would take effect in January 2013 unless an agreement is reached on a deficit plan that would cut at least a trillion dollars.

People are assuming that Republicans will be even more obstructionist in Obama's second term, and that these issues will not be able to be solved in a responsible manner. Although the GOP controls the House, the Dems control the Senate, so they have some leverage in the Congress.

That's the situation in a nutshell.
