I use this, the slide-out shaver on the back is what I use for my face, leaves it smooth as hell and it doesn't cause razor bumps. (I never shave completely down, I like my mild 5 0' clock shadow, but it ends up looking clean with a fresh shave anyway)

Safety razor+ bowl+ brush is the best way to shave pretty much. Straight razors are closer, but take more skill and are maybe more costly. Wetshaving with a real razor>>>> Gillette mach 3 garbage.
