Saving gifs on a Macbook?

Prior to 10.8 , I used to just copy the gif to a text edit file and save it that way. But now that doesn't work, nor does manipulating the file extensions.

Simple right click save breaks the gif up into individual frames.

Help a bruh out.

existing gifs? i just drag them to the desktop from the web browser. Should be able to right click/save as a .gif also then open them with a web browser...

it might only save a few frames if you haven't allowed the .gif to fully load
