Hippocratic Oath. Words still have meaning even after Cheeto.
The Hippocratic Oath is just a mindless tradition with no legal consequences for breaking it. Hell, do you really think Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, atheist, and agnostic physicians take that bullshyt about Greek deities seriously?
There is the potential for medical malpractice lawsuits. He was in serious condition when he came in. Patients in that condition can still die even if the medical staff puts forth their best effort, so it shouldn't have been too difficult to make it seem legit. Also, it would take some serious balls for the family to sue a Jewish hospital because they allegedly didn't save a man who just sprayed up a synagogue.
That’s why you aren’t a surgeon.
I thought the reason he wasn't a surgeon was because he entered law school instead of medical school. You learn something new everyday
That's nice. That doesn't seem to apply to black patients across the board. Or maybe giving substandard care/no care is 'good faith'.
I'm glad to see someone in the thread knows about this. Many people who practice medicine do not do so in a benevolent manner. In addition greedy motherfukkers(ranging from the numerous physicians who write prescriptions based solely on which big pharma company pays them the most, to utterly insane cases like with Dr. Farid Fata), there are numerous studies and anecdotal cases about how Black all too often receive bad health care from white physicians. This almost never results in the physicians being punished, though
