Saudi web users are hailing the landmark law aimed at combating violence against women and children. It was passed on Monday outlawing 'all forms' of domestic abuse . According to the legislation, the government will also provide rights to anonymity and medical aid to the victims, including psychological and social support.

In addition to women and children, the new measure applies in cases of abuse against domestic migrant workers.

Can someone explain to me why there's so much violence against women in the Middle East? I understand that even in America, men are treated better than Women, but we don't feel the need to be violent towards them. At least not to the extent of So many places in the middle east.
