Better than an ACL tear, could be ready for the start of next regular season.

One of the pragmatic routes I could've seen Howie taking was extending Dean on a sweetheart deal and letting Baun walk, now he almost has no choice but to meet Baun's price and let Dean play out his contract year.

As for here and now, doesn't seem like they think Trot Jr is ready. Gonna have to sink or swim with Burks.

jalen had goedert open for a bit on that last play which i mentioned in the thread, but these other plays :scust:. GB has a stout defense but man kellen was god awful with the playcalling yesterday.

I gotta say doing 3 interviews might have something to do with some of this. NFL should ban interviews of playoff candidates

What is son talking about?

He points at guys who have one or two steps on their man and says "No one's open"

That is open enough for 75% of the QBs in the playoffs right now. You throw it hard at them and on the side they aren't covered and hope they make a play.

If the WRs have to be completely open for Jalen to throw to them, and not just that but completely open along the sidelines since he can't throw over the DL/OL, then he deserves the criticism.

Good QBs have the accuracy and anticipation to throw to guys with one, one and a half steps on their cornerback. Sometimes it isn't completed but oftentimes it is.

Hurts needs guys to be schemed full and well open for him to throw them the ball... that's a problem.

Also Orlovsky saying "People who don't think Jalen played well didn't watch the game" is asinine because if you only watch the broadcast its impossible to tell if anyone is open lol. The focus on QB as main character is because of the broadcasters refusing to show us All 22s even though Amazon has proven that it works and its great.

jalen doesnt have that rocket arm to make a lot of these throws where there is a small window without the DB closing on the ball. the first play was completely covered unless he threw with anticipation to AJ on the curl which we know by now that he isnt that type of QB for the most part. he had devonta in the flat on the second one for a small gain. third play was a shytty screen call. he couldve hit goedert with anticipation on the 4th play, but once again we know jalen by now. even with those potential quick anticipation throws, we dont even know if thats supposed to be his first read or not either. goedert breaks out on the 5th play but the pocket breaks down before that happens. the 6th & 7th plays are examples of one of the main problems i have with jalen when it comes to taking checkdowns (gainwell on the block and release route on the 6th & goedert running down the middle on the 7th).

get some mesh concepts, crossing routes, slants and simplify the game for dude. im just happy he didnt force the issue at all, because if he did then theres a strong chance we lose and we would be EXTREMELY pissed lol.

So I agree with what you're saying

My point is that if the media spends this week criticizing Jalen for not being able to throw with anticipation, not having a powerful enough arm to throw into tight coverage, not being able to see his checksowns, and generally needing pick plays or defensive breakdowns to throw to his all star receivers then thats not unfair.

He can't do stuff expected of playoff quarterbacks and its fair of the media to say so. There are things he can do that other playoff QBs can't. But the criticism of him is warranted.

Now should Kellen Moore adapt to the talent he has better? I think so. But we also know that Hurts is delusional about audibles and stuff. He loves to audible to vertical plays. At one point this season he audibled to a QB draw on Third and Long, got stuffed, then audibled to a QB draw on 4th and Long to end the half.

my only problem is the bashing of dude from the media while letting people who looked WAY WORSE like herbert and love slide as if they didnt play a game this weekend.

Eagles are bigger so they get more coverage, like cowboys being mentioned.
First Take just talked about Love and Herbert this morning and who played the worst out of the two.
Eagles are superbowl or bust. With those expectations comes a bigger magnifying glass.
Hurts has an all star cast, Love and Herbert dont have half that talent on offense.
Hurts is often looked at because he is seen as the weakest link on offense.
