He has the range to pull of the dynamic you mentioned. On a related note, I think Santino is one of the more underrated figures of the PG/reality era (by both marks/smarks).

dog...watch how motherfukking hype the crowd was when they saw my nikka Tino slide back and stumble to his feet...you could feel everyone going insane slowly...the way he sold the prayer and the setup for the cobra was god like...moments like that and him almost winning in the elimination chamber and more = enough to slowly build him as a legit underdog...
