I really like that movie, I saw the preview and thought it would be garbage, but Ebert's review convinced me, and I thought highly of the movie. Effective thriller, with a slow burn, and the twist that imo, you are, (at least I was) giving Samuel Jackson the benefit of the doubt far after any reasonable amount of time or intimidation, because he was black, and did such a great job with the role. I watched a few seconds last night, I'll probably turn it on for the repeat this afternoon. The scene that killed me was the strip tease in front of his daughter and Kerry Washington.....shyt was getting real uncomfortable at that point.

I remember the first time I saw this. Sam did kill it.

Definitely written pretty well

:scheme: *waits for a movie nerd to point out all the plot holes*

I always thought someone should do a GIF of Sam, in a few scenes, he was acting crazy...

I remember after I saw this I recommended it to a few friends, or some how the subject came up and I said I thought it was good, few months later they are harassing me like 'That shyt was wack', I just think they couldn't appreciate it..it's a smarter movie then a straight thriller, lot of subtleties about race and racisim, among other topics...The trailers sell it as a 'cop gone mad' but it's not at all, Jackson's performance and star power, charisma is so strong, you empathize with a throughly spiteful, malicious, vindictive, bitter, and twisted man long after you should...
