i use FL Stu 10, have a mpk mini (akai) with some keys, for vocal recording and shyt like that i have music creator LE with a samson go mic (usb). shyt is not that official at all but im workin with what i have. any suggestions?

MPK mini is the little keyboard right? I got both of those exact same things. I dabble a little but I'm not that good or advanced but for the software u've mentioned, u've done well, its a nice beat for such basic software.

As for suggestions, I'm told a Mac computer and Logic is better software to produce with and the Maschine looks like an interesting tool that I would like to learn how to use as well.

ya the mpk mini has 8 pads and about 12 keys on it.

on my FL ive added packs/sounds and stuff and just recently have started using the editor in there. im actually lookin to learn guitar and play/record some live instruments myself, seems like the music would flow more naturally rather than just using plugins. only thing i have now is basically a small keyboard and drum pads...

my whole setup is hooked up to my TV btw...lol

and maybe one day i will invest in a mac, if i can get past how overpriced i think they are..

Yeah, Macs are expensive. And learning how to play a real instrument would give u the upper hand as a producer cause u would know more and be able to do more.

I think when it comes to production the best instrument to learn would be a keyboard and/or an mpc. If u can use both u can put out some heat IMO.
