He was warming up in 2004 on the grand scale of things. C1 was good but the whole community wasn't checking from him like that.. then he went into over drive.

Carter II in December '05 and dropping that verse on Destiny's Child Soldier. All the way to No Celilings in October 2009.

He held the streets tight. He had the internet on lock. He held it down for 4 to 5 summers.

This is an appreciation thread. Drop all the fire from that period in here.

Lil Weezy. RIP.

safe to say you were just a bandwagon wayne fan during his run to the throne from 05 to 07...

the first wayne song you probably heard was Hustler Musik...

all of the fake wayne fans are exposing themselves by trying to shyt on dedication 4 as if it isnt a throwback to prime dedication 2 wayne...

the bars, the flow, the beat selection, the features, the wordplay, the punchlines....he's been rapping this way for the better part of a decade...everyone was loving it before wayne became the biggest rapper on earth...

the only difference now is that he's at the top so you same half-assed bandwagon nikkas are turning on him saying he fell off

i think the problem is nikkas just tired of the same ol shyt from wayne.
forced punchlines over other peoples beats.

now a days nikkas are releasing mixtapes with all original music.

i used to be a huge wayne fan when i was younger.i really used to think he was the best rapper alive till i got older and heard more shyt.

but props to you for still being a wayne stan. hopefully he will release a good album one day

The real problem is hip hop fans are wish-washy...he could've released D2 or Drought 3 yesterday, and people would still be running to call it wack ...if people REALLY judge all artist using this bs absolute scale they've created to discredit Wayne, 2chainz wouldnt have a career....a lot of artist wouldn't, no other artist gets the "let's go through and find all the wack lines" treatment...the funny part is, a lot of dudes just download the tape to laugh at it with their e-friends on twitter and make those corny gifs, like that Vince Carter one that was created days before the shyt even dropped..these haters want to force him into 50 Cent-ville but he has too many fans, so he just at some sub-par status right now

i dont recall any Tity tape being 3 mins of punchlines over industry beats. he always did original music

its sucks because Wayne could afford a whole tape of name brand beats like Gucci does, but he just goes in over the most played out tracks around

Using industry beats is the whole point of 'dedication' and any Wayne tape really....it's a "jackin for beats" tape... anyone expecting some change a decade later is confused

I dont agree with this. I think people are just tired of him. It shows in the music. He's about to be over. The new mixtape is not hot, dude is the new 50 Cent.

And I used to ride for Weezy hardbody (no homo)
