For as much as I like Rhythm al ism, it's still not better than the Quik album before it nor is it better than Suga Free's Street Gospel album. Both Safe + Sound and Street Gospel are classic albums from start to finish. This isn't to say that Rhythm al ism isn't great (because musically it is) because Quik was expanding on his production but when compared to Safe + Sound and Street Gospel, well it doesn't compare. In my opinion, Safe + Sound is right up there behind both The Chronic and Doggystyle in terms of production. Safe + Sound is better than Rhyth al ism because it has much better structured or written songs. Rhythm al ism sounds more like a jam session (which is cool) at times as oppose to a cohesive sequenced album. And Street Gospel is just a better album than Rhythm al ism because it doesn't seem like there's one too many songs.
Rhythm al ism is a classic, I just think two other classics, Safe + Sound and Street Gospel are better.
