TNA X Division Champion Rob Van Dam appeared on the Jay Mohr podcast on Saturday and discussed a variety of topics. You can listen to the full podcast at Jaymohr.com/mohr-stories.php.

Mohr asked if there's anyone he wrestled that he thought was a dikk. He said he and Chris Jericho had issues because Jericho thought he was taking his place. "According to Paul Heyman, who doesn't mind lying, he doesn't mind telling you something that's completely bullshyt, but he was telling me about these conversations that Chris would have, 'Shouldn't that be my spot? Shouldn't I be having that match.'

-Van Dam said he found Jericho to be "such a political bytch." He said he and Jericho got in arguments every day. "I was trying to make myself look good and he was taking from..." He told a story about agents telling them what to do and how Jericho was concerned about getting his offense in. "That's politics," Van Dam said. "Finding ways to make yourself look better."

-Mohr asked if he ever had an "oops" moment in the ring. Van Dam recalled Jericho being busted open. He said he went backstage and Christian and Tazz told him that Jericho was pissed and was going to fight him. "I go, sweet, where's he at?" recalled Van Dam. He said Jericho threw chairs around and trapped a referee against the wall. Van Dam said he approached Jericho afterward and he was calm. He said he'd probably hear from the other guys that he lost it. He recalled Jericho saying he can't have more scars on his face. "I don't hate Jericho anymore by the way," Van Dam said.

Jericho has talked about this how he he debuted so hot and then they did nothing with him and then threw him a feud with Chyna. Meanwhile Van Dam was fighting Kurt Angle and Stone Cold for the title :dead:

Jericho is becoming more of a bytch in my eyes, from the corporate vince/triple h stooging all the time now to this :upsetfavre:

eh, it's typical wrestler insecurity. Jericho doesn't escape the cliche I guess :manny:

Jericho used to be among my favourites. I've read and enjoyed both of his books, and will definitely read the third one when it comes out because he's a good writer with a lot of great stories.

But I can't deny that my opinion of him has lowered over the years. He's a pretty shameless self-promoter and name-dropper. Never fails to mention his feud with HBK a few years ago, which of course was great, but you get the feeling he likes putting his name alongside HBK's name as often as he possibly can.

I don't know ... I don't hate him or anything, but the more I know about him the less I respect him. Also, his band sucks.

RVD always went over and looked good over Jericho...if there was reason to be concerned? It would come from Jericho's side. Why not? I don't even recall him ever beating Van Dam in 2001 on television. But RVD was pushed hard at that point though...that all ended when Cripple H returned that January.

Jericho's that dude but becoming less of it as time goes on. If true I'm disappointed because I thought Jericho was above politics if you let him tell it after reading both books. RVD himself said Heyman is shaky credibility wise so :manny:

Social media's becoming a hinderance of a lot of wrestling greats. I wonder what Twitter in the 80s or 90s would've been like. Curt Savage Owen and Rick Rude would've been interesting follows I'm sure.

Jericho is Foley status to me now. He tries too hard to be relevant, but he can't. He overhypes his own legacy. I honestly can't stand him anymore. He use to be one of my favorites too.

Jericho does have an attitude and would not be surprised if he was political. He's also arrogant about his ring work, legacy.

Dude is good but not that good.

A lot of all time great legends have gone on record as saying they HATE Jericho's guts. Wasn't it Bruno Sammartino who threatened to slit his tongue in half and watch him bleed to death on YT a few years ago? A lot of those old timers he worked with back in the day don't like him. It's kind of funny, since he's a born again Christian :laff: but he seems to talk out of two sides of his mouth at once, fukkin divas and praising God, playing in a "metal band" always on the road while being a good dad at home. I expect to hear about some paternity suits in a few years when all those chickens he's knocked up come home to roost.

RVD is a cool, laid back dude so I don't see him as being a trouble maker. Jericho probably really was an ass to deal with at the time and was on everyone's shyt list when he first joined WWE. A lot of people didn't like him. That's probably why he had to kiss so much ass with the Clique to stay in the company those years.

He admitted that a lot of people hated him for legit and illegitimate reasons back then, so would not be surprised at all to hear he was a bytch to RVD.

He knows he's inferior to the ones that count though....he'll never rate himself over Rock/Austin/Bret/Eddie/Macho Man. He KNOWS HIS ROLE:youngsabo:
