40 minute video? Sum it up lol
Apparently HHH recently said Russo was great at STARTING stories, but not great at ENDING stories. He cited the UK PPV Rebellion (Oct 2nd, 1999) as an example. During the PPV, British Bulldog threw a trash can, which ricocheted off the wall, and hit Stephanie McMahon in the head, giving her amnesia. HHH said that Russo didn’t know how to end some angle, so the amnesia bit was to buy him some time to figure out. Russo said the problem with this is he never wrote that angle, never wrote house shows, and he was in the USA that weekend meeting with WCW (signed with them on Sept 16, 1999). He said he never even HEARD of Rebellion until then (I haven’t either and thought he was mixing up Insurrection at first). He was ranting on how all these shytty angles get attributed to him wrongly, such as The Fingerpoke of Doom (he was still in WWF), Samoa Joe kidnapping (Bischoff idea), and I forget what else. He said he admits to his creations such as putting the title on himself and Arquette, forget what else.

It was pretty good overall surprisingly. I watched thinking he was gonna go in on HHH for placing himself on the level of Austin/Rock and being all up in the video, but he never did.

So can we get a rundown of the vid er? :pachaha:

HHH said Russo knew how to start angles but didn't know how to end them. Trips cited the October 1999 Rebellion PPV as an example. Apparently Stephanie got amnesia during her relationship with Test by getting hit in the head with a trashcan.

The reality according to Russo is that that particular PPV was UK only and wasn't even broadcast on the US. For this reason, it was treated like a house show (which Russo didn't write for).
