The guy who ignited all this is some guy on Fox News called Rod Wheeler who in the past 'reported' on shyt like this - Rod Wheeler Claims on The O’Reilly Factor Lesbian Gangs are Raping Young Girls
He's now taking everything he said back, saying he has no evidence/source, literally less than a day after he made his comments to Fox 5:
"Rod Wheeler, a Fox News contributor whose investigation into Rich's death was funded by Fox News regular Ed Butowsky, told Fox5 on Monday: 'My investigation up to this point shows there was some degree of email exchange between Seth Rich and WikiLeaks.'"
In an interview on Monday, Fox5 asked Wheeler: 'You have sources at the FBI saying that there is information that could link Seth Rich to WikiLeaks?'
Wheeler responded: 'Absolutely. Yeah. That's confirmed.'
He also said: 'My investigation up to this point shows there was some degree of email exchange between Seth Rich and WikiLeaks.'
Fox News regulars actually funding this BS.
The family of Seth Rich went in on this dumbass:
Rich's family slammed the reports and issued a statement in response, saying: 'We see no facts, have seen no evidence, we have been approached with no evidence and only learned about [Wheeler's claims] when approached by the press.'
NBC News reported of Wheeler, “Wheeler has since completely recanted his story, both in the press and in a private message to Rich’s family. The private investigator told other outlets the Fox reporter essentially put words in his mouth by giving him information that he then repeated in an on-camera interview.” Although the family has asked for an apology and retraction from Fox 5, none has been granted thus far, reported NBC.
Newsweek then reported that the FBI was not involved in the investigation into Rich's death. Furthermore, a current FBI official told NBC the police never handed Rich's computer over to the federal bureau.
Even Wikileaks implied some BS back in August:
The site then offered $20,000 to anyone who could provide 'information leading to conviction for the murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich.'
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange implied Rich handed over the emails before clarifying he was not the source.
Assange in a interview trying to imply Seth Rich was a source then later Wikileaks posted this:
