As a historical precedent, President Nixon himself wasn't the one who broke into the Watergate hotel, but his obstruction efforts were enough to have articles of impeachment drafted.

It doesn't matter if Trump committed Obstruction of Justice when Mueller said there was no conspiracy between the campaign and Russia. Trump's not getting removed from office on Obstruction of Justice.

I don't understand why so many people are still holding on to this investigation like some massive cover up is going to be exploited and it's going to lead to everyone going down. Will the report show evidence of Obstruction of Justice? Most likely. Will the report show "inappropriate conduct" between the campaign and Russia? Yes. Will it show a clear conspiracy? No because Mueller already said there was no conspiracy. Therefore the inappropriate behavior that's going to be found in the report will mean absolutely nothing in the big picture. But because Democrats are idiots and always manage to fukk up somehow they are going to do exactly what Republicans did with Hilary Clinton's investigation which is harp on any small thing they can to show how criminal the Trump administration and campaign is instead of moving on and focusing on current policy matters and the 2020 election. And it could potentially backfire on them in the face of moderate voters who take Mueller's word on them being exonerated and just want to move on to more important things.

Trump is finishing his term. This means Trump ultimately won. It doesn't matter what behavior is exposed when it's not going to lead to his removal from office. It's just going to be another scandal that will eventually wash away like all the other scandals he's had. People can't seem to accept that.

This, more or less. I expect the full report to be much more detailed and even damaging, but not contradict Barr's report.

Also, it's easy to forget that Mueller's report is effectively the point of view of the prosecutor. It isn't the objective truth some people seem to think it is. Trump's counter report must be weighed against it in order to reach something closer to tje truth.
