One by one, this investigation has circled closer and closer to Trump, this is his inner circle, his Dream Team from the 2016 campaign. This case seems like enough to bring to trial, obviously, not as strong as Manafort, but easy enough to make the false statements case, if they have to go to trial. My guess is Stone will try to fight it, this will bleed his assets, and the SC will offer him a plea, in the 18 months range. Witness tampering is more serious than false statements, and they have that one locked solid.

Not seeing it based on this indictment.....They pressed him with this, stacked the deck as much as possible now. Maybe they have more info for a superceding. But, this case would be a nightmare in front of a jury, it is too complicated, too unsexy, hard to explain the crime to a jury of average joes. They stacked it this way because they probably expected him to fuss and fight and cry like a little kid, but he will eventually plea. With guys like Flynn and Van Der Zwan, they knew they would plea off the top, and give them an easy out.

They are showing a strong hand on Stone, and hoping he breaks. But, it isn't a royal flush.

Republicans are masters of messaging, always have been. They have a library of terms on deck to address any situation/campaign or effort. Trump has taken it to another level. "fake news" " alternative facts" "presidential harassment" "process crimes" "border security" . it is highly effective especially with an uneducated audience.

They just have more experience at this and have mastered it. .

Do the have a like group chat or delivery system to get the talking points so quickly and efficiently.
