honestly i dont think putin cares enough to go after someone like cohen. whatever cohen does furthers putin's interest in making the US look like shyt. cohen cant hurt putin. the only people putin is hitting are those who can hurt him directly, or those who have already betrayed him.

alternative theory - trump would rather be impeached (for obstruction etc) than to face criminal charges that might put him in prison forever. that's why he's doing all of this obstructing etc so openly. maybe he thinks impeachment would short circuit any appetite for additional charges.

Even if Trump himself was just in danger of obstruction, at least two of his kids and son-in-law are going down for criminal charges that will put them in prison. In Trump's mind, that's not something he can live with.
