I'm willing to bet that he's had them for months now.
This dude Mueller is a wizard man. He knew Manafort was lying to him and sharing info with Trump. He also knew Cohen would have to plead guilty to lying to Congress. He waited until Trump submitted his answers to tell the court Manfort lied so he's ready to sentence him and waited until Trump submitted his answers to drop the plea on Cohen. That way Trump wouldn't get tipped off and change all his answers. Now he got Trump on a false statements charge.
