I really don't understand the signifcance of a Manafort pardon. He gonna get them state charges and won't get his money back.

Notice even though this is a Mueller charge, it came out of SDNY instead of DC? If Whitaker tries to block Mueller indictments, he can just send them to SDNY for prosecution.

I thought all of his forfeitures had been done already, so even if he's miraculously found innocent he'll never get any of that back.
The pardon is only significant to Trump because he has things he doesn't want Manafort to admit to. But we've known all along that Manafort could care less about Trump, he's more concerned about his Ukrainian and Russian friends.
