The average American is a high school drop out with a meth addiction.
that’s not even true in the least. some of y’all are seriously so disconnected from the middle class im pretty sure this forum is a lot of upper middle class suburbanites.
i live in one of the most liberal and leftist states and your avg middle class person here is a democrat who never went to college, doesn’t do drugs and works manual labor. many here supported bernie but hillary won our state because she’s a “centrist”. also even though our state is one of the most leftist, we have some of the highest rates of poverty in terms of POC. so how exactly is that working out here with democratic leadership?
i support far left ideologies, im a far left anti authoritian for fukks sake. but ideology doesn’t always translate well into reality
you want people to jump or board to the far left? look in the mirror. because people like you are part of the problem. you’re generalizing and putting down your avg middle class worker by calling them uneducated drug addicts while ignoring the fact that many people dropped out of school for a lot of reasons, a lot being that there’s alternatives to making more money without education. in the 70s it was pretty common for people to drop out of high school to join the army or to work a mill/factory job to help out their family. many people aren’t furthering their education because they can’t afford it under capitalism and putting people down for doing what they had to do isolates the middle class. if you truly understood the middle class and poor you’d get that and put context to understanding people rather than throwing around inaccurate generalizations because people vote what’s most accessible and sold to them.
majority of intellectual leftists aren’t reaching the avg middle class american because they are pompous and use language and terms that aren’t accessible or understood easily by your avg american who didn’t go to school to learn about the bourgeois and marxism
