Invading Venezuela....:snoop: WHY????
Oil I would assume. Chance to paint socialism as evil and anyone who opposes the invasion as unpatriotic like with Iraq and anyone who opposss our system of unregulated capitalism that creates so much inequality as “an evil socialist”.

Edit: also because he just simply might want to go to war and get a lot of people killed for the sake of doing it.

Its all about the oil, socialism is a bonus...

Venezuela has the largest oil reserves in the world...

Same reason they invaded Iraq but with Iraq they had multiple narratives to hide their intent behind...

First it was Al Quaeda, then it was WMDs and when they couldn't find those it became they hate our freedom..

I guess the Venezuela war narrative will be "protecting our freedom and extending our values"...

why didn't the inspectors in Iraq just say "yeah, we found WMD's"?
is it because they did not go into Iraq until after the invasion and had no intensive to perpetuate the false premise?

also,

Hoyer hospitalized with pneumonia

this old fuk wants to be leader of the party still? :snoop:

if the inspectors said "there are no WMD's here" , then that would leave me to believe that the UN was was able to exercise their sovereign right to do so.

America bogarted the stage at the UN and said "fukk it...let's use all of our diplomatic pressure to get enough nations on our side."

then the boom bbom started and everyone was like :hubie:

we have been at war in the middle east since 2001...that's 17 years.

what the fukk are we fighting for?

Unfortunately there’s something in it for every crowd when it come so to war in the Middle East. One of the reasons so many major weapons systems continue to get funded, even when it’s something the various armed forces do t even want, is that the manufacturing processes (parts etc) are spread across dozens of states. And since those parts = high paying jobs, the Reps/Senators have huge incentives to support funding.

It’s same way with middle easter wars. The “we hate Muslims and must destroy them”, the “US must remain militarily superior”, the “tryna get that oil”, the “we must protect Israel and destroy its enemies”, the “military industrial complex”, and the “Christianity must emerge victorious” crowds all are happy with perpetual war.
