If he does that, it’s treason. Someone who values their life wouldn’t do that. He may be stupid enough to try though. The reality is that he’s too dangerous with what he presumably knows to let go and not keep him locked up where he can’t tell anything to anyone.

Yes the West world has too much at stake to let Trump get away with all the shyt he knows. Also, they may have fed him false information since he is not trusted and the CIA knows who he really is. That's why he wants Pompeo there to dish him secrets. If Pompeo gets confirmed, Trump can happily step down because his mission as a spy agent is accomplished. He will have many top secret files he can easily dish out to Vlad. The issue is the CIA is everywhere in the world and trust me, they will know.
i have very little doubt that trump has already handed over what he believed to be classified information to the russians.
i sincerely hope that information is being kept from him but how long can that game be played?
if something pops off and the IC is forced to tell trump about information they were hiding, trump would be on some "Why the fukk are you telling me this NOW?"

You guys keep harping on this "everyone should be adults and just vote for who I think is the rational choice" not realizing since forever politics has ALWAYS been about selling yourself. 2016 is no different and unfortunately the parts of the country that mattered electorally didn't want what she was selling. All signs pointed to Bernie Sanders probably would have been a better candidate in this regard despite losing the primary. Even where he won in the primary and lost in the primary showed why.
You dudes really need to get over this "BE ADULTS" nonsense as if its a winning election strategy or enjoy defeat again in 2020. You dudes love talking about how you hope Trump is arrested or some other non-election thing will take him out and very rarely talk about the most realistic but what seem furthest from your mind possibility of having to defeat him at the ballot box in 2020. What are you thoughts on that? What political strategy and ideas do you have for that?

I still maintain this was the worst thing they've done. People most likely died and the investigation was severely impeded by them releasing the dossier when other news outlets responsibly held off. Chris Steel was working with the FBI until they dropped that dossier and they had to cut ties because of it.
All their leads and contacts probably dropped off the face of the earth, not to mention those who slipped out of windows. This investigation probably would be able to uncover more information and there probably would have a bigger case now had it not been from that

Regarding your comment, do you think the government would rather 1) let him off the hook on the basis of "protecting national security" or 2) prosecute him fully, upholding the rule of law etc, but risking the disclosure of the nation's deepest secrets...shyt that is so explosive that it would shake the country to its core, incite public instability etc. i'm not in any way suggesting this is the case, but what if for instance we find out that we knew there was going to be a hijacking attempt on 9/11 but thought it was canceled at the last second, not realizing that they were going to hijack multiple airlines?
