Unless Congress impeaches him he would rip this country apart fighting that shyt. The only way they get him to resign is Congress put that pressure on him Even one house would be enough really. The State charges could work, but would be so fukking bloody, Mueller is keeping it as a deadman's switch to keep Trump from firing him so he can try to do this the right way, on the federal level. If they keep both houses it’ll be off illegitimate elections tainted by foreign interference and voter suppression that they aren’t even trying to hide, which may trigger states seceding or a civil war breaking out anyway. Trump and his party aren’t leaving office peacefully or without doing all they can to burn the country to the ground. That much is certain. Mueller needs to stay indicting member of the party consistently from around may all the way through the mid terms to swing more people away from them so the results aren’t even close, and the courts need to reverse these gerrymandered states. Otherwise it gets really ugly.

True but I think we've got to be careful about people wanting to wait on a timeline and assuming that Dems will flip a bunch of seats in the midterms. If that doesn't happen you're in the same position you're in now with the rank & file GOP not wanting to impeach him and the fact that the probe would've lasted more than 2 years. I think waiting for the midterms would be a grave mistake especially when we're still under attack from Russian meddling in our elections.

But can a sitting president be indicted or charged with crimes? It's not gonna be as easy as you're laying out to remove Trump without Congress stepping up to support that decision
