I don't think she ended up voting for her though. I tried to explain why it was a waste of a vote, in August 2016, if only we had really known. She lives in Oakland, which explains the Stein thing.

Sounds like a problem with the alternative. More people decided to either vote for Stein or Trump over Hillary. Hillary lacked appeal and enthusiasm to compete in the states that ended up mattering (MI, Wi, and PA). States Obama won.
This is not to dismiss voter suppression efforts in states like Wisconsin.
But we've had this conversation before, and there is this constant effort to ignore the horrible campaign strategy and campaign of the Clinton camp.
