Look what happened with that Cliven Bundy guy. Dude basically ignored federal law, did whatever he wanted, had an armed standoff, and got away scot-free because he's a "real American" patriot with a cowboy hat.

That Ammon Bundy debacle did set a significant precedent, but that was a very specific case, with a lot of different variables. A lot of the ramifications behind those cases will be in rural areas, Bureau of Land Management federal oversight.....Having said that, look at VA last year, I would be concerned that WS could occupy a building in a metro area, and the fed government would have their hands tied, as to what charges could actually be brought to get meaningful sentences.
