One thing mentioned many times in the Dossier is that relatively speaking, the Trump campaign preferred the focus on Russia during the campaign because they were worried that much more damaging relationships and corruption such as bribes and illegal payments would damage them more in relation to China.
I'm assuming the media has looked into this?
