It was a setup. She obviously baited him with a ridiculous story that the DNC and Clinton are the actual ones with illegal donations from the Russian government and said this was the dirt she has. When they get there, according to jr, she says little about this supposedly and immediately goes into the Magnitsky Act which was passed after a Russian lawyer was killed in jail by Russian officials for trying to rat about stealing money from the government.
However this lawyer who Russia will quickly tell you is not related to them, has a history of being an advocate for Russian state interests and was traveling the world basically being a lobbyist on their behalf. Her recent interest is getting the above mentioned sanctions removed on several oligarchs who many think make up the true power in Russian government. But again she does this simply out of personal interest and not at the behest of the state, according to them.
