FBI official won't say that President Trump is not a Russian agent
A first for an American president.

Donald Trump's unprecedented actions as president are stacking up daily, but this is a truly new one: A top FBI official will not say whether the president is an "unwitting agent" who aided Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Bill Priestap, the assistant director of the FBI's counterintelligence division, testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee yesterday. He said that Russia “employed a multifaceted approach intended to undermine confidence in our democratic process,” including efforts to “discredit” Hillary Clinton and help elect Trump.

“Did Donald Trump become an unwitting agent of the Russians?” asked Sen. Martin Heinrich, D-N.M.

After a long pause, Priestap said, “I can’t really comment on that."

“I don’t blame you for not answering that question,” replied Heinrich, to laughter from the audience.

This follows an expanding investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller as to whether Trump or his associates colluded with Russian forces to influence the 2016 presidential election. So far at issue: former national security adviser Mike Flynn's multiple undisclosed meetings with Russian officials and senior adviser Jared Kushner's proposal to Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak to set up a backchannel for communications with the Kremlinbeyond the reach of U.S. intelligence.

At least one intelligence official publicly rang an alarm about Trump's possible status as an unwitting Russian agent well before the election. In an August 2016 op-ed in The New York Times, former CIA Director Michael Morell wrote, “Mr. Trump has also taken policy positions consistent with Russian, not American, interests — endorsing Russian espionage against the United States, supporting Russia’s annexation of Crimea and giving a green light to a possible Russian invasion of the Baltic States,” Morrell wrote.

“In the intelligence business, we would say that Mr. Putin had recruited Mr. Trump as an unwitting agent of the Russian Federation,” he stated.

Amazing:wow:
I sense that Trump's corruptness and idiocy are so palpable that the gravity of Priestap's statement may be lost on many, simply due to desensitization. Maybe if he had refused to deny Trump was a willing agent, we might be shocked by his courage and tacit frankness , but at this point, it's no leap of the imagination to think that this dopey, narcissist and money hungry president was duped into servicing an enemy nation with the office of the POTUS. :scusthov:

Inside was an intelligence bombshell, a report drawn from sourcing deep inside the Russian government that detailed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s direct involvement in a cyber campaign to disrupt and discredit the U.S. presidential race.

But it went further. The intelligence captured Putin’s specific instructions on the operation’s audacious objectives — defeat or at least damage the Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, and help elect her opponent, Donald Trump.

At that point, the outlines of the Russian assault on the U.S. election were increasingly apparent. Hackers with ties to Russian intelligence services had been rummaging through Democratic Party computer networks, as well as some Republican systems, for more than a year. In July, the FBI had opened an investigation of contacts between Russian officials and Trump associates. And on July 22, nearly 20,000 emails stolen from the Democratic National Committee were dumped online by WikiLeaks.
and upon finding al this out and seeing it's proven outcom confirmed by 16 intelligence agencies, what did the trump administration decide to do: WELL OF COURSE, LIFT SANCTIONS OF RUSSIA!
why are you people looking for evidence of collusion again?

If everything is true, it could have EASILY been avoided. HRC State Dept should have stayed out of Russian elections. They should have stayed out of Ukraine. They should stop the NATO encroachment into the former Soviet bloc. They should stop moving missile defense systems closer and closer to the Russian border. They shouldn't have funded a fascist uprising in Ukraine. They shouldn't have overthrown a democratically elected leader in Ukraine. They shouldn't cause and fund rebellions in Georgia. Russia is not some shytty Middle Eastern or Central Asian country. Their capabilities match (or come close to) ours in almost every regard outside of finances. When you poke the bear, what do you expect to happen?
.
this is what it always comes back to for your dumbass. how you can't see that it's completely irrelevant tells anyone with sense all they'd need to know about 'debating' this with you. it's sad you can't pop that little bubble of yours or see outside of it for a nanosecond. don't ride the grooves on the same greatest hit records your entire life, that's how you get dementia like our president.

PAY ATTENTION TO THE LANGUAGE.

ALL THE REPORTS SAY THAT NO VOTES WERE CHANGED.

REPORTS ARE NOW SAYING THAT VOTER REGISTRATIONS WERE CHANGED, ALTERED, AND TAMPERED.

IF YOU DO ANY OF THE AFOREMENTIONED, YOU AFFECT THE ABILITY TO VOTE
...WITHOUT CHANGING THE VOTE.

THIS IS WAY BIGGER THAN YOU THINK.
