Anime was trash until Saitoh showed up and trash the minute Shishio died. Manga was the same until the main confrontation with Enishi. It had its moments, the score for the anime during the darker themes of the Shishio arc was great but it was just good, not GOAT or even close.

nvr read the manga but the anime was straight...the fact that kenshin didnt kill kinda made it meh for me tho (the trust/betrayal OVA on the other hand ) i actually nvr finished the anime cuz i got kinda bored after the arc with the dude and his sister ....
