I think they’ll see what internet speeds/latency look like and datacenter resources and determine if they can get away with in the same way ass the “Windows App”/“desk less worker” space.

I think I mentioned it in another thread but if the streaming solution is anything like they currently have - even in a LAN setting - it is DOA. Too much latency with the input. It sucks the newer versions of the Xbox app on PC got shyttier in terms of streaming capabilities and they deny the options to tune any settings. It used to be better.

Funny thing is they had Mixer, which was far and away the lowest latency broadcast platform available. Sure it's just video, but they have the capability to improve.

Well it's not because it doesn't have good exclusives games.

The main reason straight forward reason is because it's not popular, and MS is not popular.

PlayStation is like Nike of the shoe business, it's the people's default. Trying to convince someone to buy a 200 dollar pair of Reebok vs a 250 pair of lower quality Nikes is a up hill battle simply because of popularity

Is this guy full on retarded or something?
Spider-Man 2 sold MORE on PS5 compared to TOTK sold on the Switch.

16% of PS5 users bought Spider-Man 2.
13% of Switch users bought Tears of the Kingdom.

RUST sold less than 1% compared to how many PC gamers are out there. HORRIBLE sales. 16 million sales when there's almost 2 billion gamers on PC alone. Horrible numbers. :wtf:

Spare me the maniac response though.

It's sad how Xbox reached this point because some certain executives just care about the money. I've never been into the bullshyt of console wars but when you see the image of the brand being ported to their competitors, yea Phil can tell whatever the fukk he wants, it's over.

In a way, it's sad because the console it's not the problem, it's a great piece of hardware. The people behind it are the problem. How Xbox division managed to fukk this entire generation and sell even less than the worst generation they had? Laughable.

Now, seems like the next generation (if have new hardware. I know they already told they will release a next-gen console more but from there, words means nothing) how they pretend to gather people to buy consoles? Game Pass? That isn't even helping this gen but hey, somehow they think this is the way. :pachaha:

Well, the current software stack already functions very much like that. The only promising factor would be a Windows OS more to gaming spec since the native builds are fairly ass.

They COULD do a fusion along the lines of say, the GamePass machine and embed it with an upcoming SteamOS release, but they'd have to embrace the re-implementation of Windows code and they get no monies from that, and who knows about certification through Valve as they haven't fully embraced 3rd party with the system OS - yet.

Anyways, they kind of already had the recipe and botched it. I don't see them going back unless they start making massive amounts of money. Considering their development style, methinks not.
Wait, why is there no money in reimplementing Windows code? Current consoles cannot perform tasks such as video editing, multitasking, I mean it literally is not a fully capable PC yet. What im speaking of is PCs built literally for gaming with even keeping the official Xbox platform but also being able to switch to a classic desktop experience thereby eliminating the need for both a computer and console (for those who previously only had a console).

I think admitting defeat in console sales silently by shifting focus to PC sales is the way to go.

Their best bet at this point, is putting out a console like Nintendo and pray that works for them. Otherwise, if we have hardware as we know on the next generation and things keep doing bad, i don't see them doing it anymore.

Judging by the people behind it, specially Nadella, this shytshow could end tomorrow and he wouldn't care a bit if Microsoft as a Third-Party keep generating money.
