Royce White might be in Trouble for allegedly Smacking up his Maxim Model Girlfriend

Although 25 year old OKC Thunder guard DeAndre Liggins has yet to be charge, he's facing some serious allegations from his girlfriend, Jasmine Horton. Details from his arrest over the weekend have become available and it's safe to say, if this is true, Liggins has a little more than an anger issue.
Liggins is accused of punching his girlfriend, stomping her, pushing her and dropping an Xbox and a fan on her head all while their 2 year old watched in the room. Stop me when this gets a little excessive.

The incident took place at the couples Oklahoma home on Saturday. Horton reportedly locked herself in a room with her son before Liggins kicked down the door and continued to attack her. Horton had injuries on her arm and fingers as well as scratches on her back and bruising on her chest.

Liggins was booked into jail on complaints of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and domestic abuse in the presence of a minor. He was released on $8,000 bail that day.

0903-royce-white-tania-mehra-gettyNBA player Royce White -- who famously missed his rookie season with the Houston Rockets due to mental health issues -- is at the center of a criminal investigation in Texas after allegedly beating up his then-girlfriend ... TMZ has learned.

We know ... White's ex-girlfriend Tania Mehra -- a Maxim model -- filed a police report on August 30 to report an incident that went down at Royce's Houston-area home back in June.

According to law enforcement, records show someone called 911 on June 22, 2013 to report a laceration above Tania's right eye. Cops say at the time, Tania claimed she suffered the injury from an "accidental fall."

But Tania changed her tune last week ... and filed an incident report in which she claims she LIED on the night of the incident -- and says in reality, Royce is to blame for her injury.

Cops tell TMZ, "The victim said she had lied earlier because the suspect played for the NBA and did not want the incident to damage his career."

Law enforcement also tells us, "The victim stated that White had assaulted her after she became angered by his advances toward her friend."

Cops say the incident is "under investigation" -- and so far, no charges have been filed against the 22-year-old NBA player.

Sources connected to the investigation tell us ... Tania claims Royce also grabbed a candleholder and threw at at her during the altercation ... but it missed, instead smashing into a mirror and causing it to shatter.



We've reached out to White's reps for comment -- so far, no word back.

FYI -- White was famously profiled on an episode of HBO's "Real Sports" in a segment that chronicled his battles with OCD and anxiety disorder.

BIRMINGHAM, Mich. (WXYZ) - Birmingham police are investigating a possible domestic incident involving Detroit Piston's new head coach Maurice Cheeks.
Officers say they were called to an address along Wooodward Avenue late Friday night after someone inside called police.

Cheeks was never arrested, but was brought into the police station for questioning and later released.

Police tell us they have sent the results of their investigation to the prosecutor for review.

Neither Cheeks nor the Pistons staff have commented.

Royce White has made headlines for all the wrong reasons since being drafted in the first round by the Houston Rockets last year, and that continues to be the case as he is currently under investigation for an alleged domestic violence incident involving his ex-girlfriend, according to TMZ.

The incident in question involves Maxim model Tania Mehra, who has alleged that White assaulted her on June 22. TMZ is reporting that someone initially placed a 911 call on June 22 to report a laceration above Mehra's right eye; however, they said it was caused by an accidental fall so as not to damage White's career prospects.

Details surrounding the situation are still being gathered, but according to TMZ, law enforcement said, "The victim stated that White had assaulted her after she became angered by his advances toward her friend."
The Rockets had high hopes for White when they drafted him out of Iowa State, but his anxiety issues made it difficult for the team to work out travel accommodations, according to Royce Young of CBSSports.com. White was openly critical of the organization, and he never played a regular-season game for Houston.
White was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers for future draft considerations in July, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, so the Rockets no longer have to deal with his antics.

He has already proven to be a very difficult player to deal with, and this investigation most definitely complicates matters. It's certainly possible that this is nothing more than a misunderstanding, but White has already been a problem child during his NBA tenure, so the Sixers may not be so patient.
