The Cold War really IS back: Russian aircraft carrier group full of Soviet-era ships escorted through the English Channel by state-of-the-art Royal Navy destroyer | Mail Online
Ignoring the hysterial daily mail headline.. Iam no military expert, but HMS dragon looks a generation ahead of the russian ships, seems like a flashback to the 70's and 80's when I saw them....
Surprised me actually, how much less the russian defence budget is compared to the americans, yet they seem to have so much more for their money, maybe this is the reason? Like if there was a conventional clash between russia and nato, how many of their service men would die because of old poorly maintained equipment, ? I mean what do the russians use to power that carrier? coal? the fukk?
Oh don't get me wrong, the russians are about the last people I would want my country to clash with ,they are tough mother fukkers, but still I wonder what would beat out, technology or sheer numbers and toughness?
