Those who predicted a loss in the Octagon would mean an end to Ronda Rousey's A-list outside gigs turned out to be wrong.

In her first major move since losing the UFC women's bantamweight title to Holly Holm in Australia on Nov. 15, Rousey will host NBC's Saturday Night Live on Jan. 23, the network announced Tuesday.

Rousey will be just the third fighter to host the venerable comedy show, joining boxers Marvelous Marvin Hagler and George Foreman.

Other notable athletes who have hosted the show over the years include Tom Brady, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, and Peyton Manning.

Rousey, 28, of Venice, Calif., has largely been out of the public eye since losing the title to Holm at UFC 193 via head-kick TKO. She does not have her next bout lined up and is presently filming a remake of the movie "Roadhouse."

Pop star Selena Gomez will be the musical guest on the Rousey edition of SNL.
