Round 4 Maharishi vs NormanConnors

Norman, I like the sample choice. I'm listening on my phone's speaker so the audio isn't coming through that great but the snare seems to be too loud.
Maharishi's beat I think is better and would have gotten my vote if this was a freestyle round but Norman's is a soul sample style beat so he has to get the vote.

This round shows it's possible to make anything Soul. This what makes it difficult man because Soul can literally be ANYTHING It's what you do with it. If we are going by who used a "Soul" sample I would rock with Norman, but @Maharishi added soul to the the track in the way he swung the drums, if "Soul is truly whatever you make it then my vote for this round goes to him.

I love the Hats, the Kick seems, muddy, but it's definitely A "Soul sample" @bigrodthe1 That's what I mean, you can literally take anything and make it soul, you mine as well call this the "Sample" round haha and make a future round next year for beats from Scratch, otherwise you get these type of morality issues.

I disagree with saying soul can anything. If you got a DJ and tell him to play soul music there's an expectation of what you'll be hearing. Anything outside of that is a problem.

this year I haven't had the time to force the rules on this. Their shouldn't really be a debate. this has been referenced since last yearBring out your soul samples
in can be any beat created by you as long as it has a soul sample or interpolation.
soul can be grouped as funk, disco, r&b, jazz, blues etc...as long as it has that SOUL
YOU are the one making it pigeonholed. I haven't even listened to either beat but the RULE was to identify your sample. How hard is that

Yo I'm not going to lie I was not aware that this round was a sample flip round. I thought it was random again. I think I was in such a rush to submit cause I knew I was late that I didn't read/see when you quoted me in the post specifying the submission. My apologies that was a major oversight on my part. How should we proceed ? I have a sample flip but I understand that a re submission wouldn't be fair. @bigrodthe1 I'm totally fine with whatever decision is made.
