@NormanConnors Those drums definitely punched this round. They punched and had so much energy though that it didn't feel like it matched the sample underneath it all. With a slightly better mix this one would be even better the snare seemed a little dry the kick seemed to hit, but it felt like everything was fighting for space, and usually when that happens it can be difficult to listen to for extended periods. At the same time I like the energy you had with the drums, it probably would work better with a different sample.
@ThaRealness The track is dope! Another one where the mix could send this over the top. Try lowering the sample a bit, so that the drums have even more space to work. You gave the drums great patterns and adding great drum fills, but they are getting covered up in spots due to the volume of the sample.
My vote for this one goes to @ThaRealness
Ok dope tracks by both. Love that rock guitar and to me this track has that City feel to it. Are you chopping word up in there??
@ThaRealness that sample chop is epic. Really creative shyt right there. It's smooth but it still has that East Coast ruggedness to it. I'm going to listen to these 2 a couple more times before making a vote.
Same here dude. I can’t even mix because when I listen to my shyt on neutral monitors I’m like “damn this shyt don’t hit”. So while I’m mixing the whole time I’m feelin bad about the best. Preciate the feedback, I’ll give your track a listen when i get homeDrums usually are my Achilles heel . Between the car, headphones and house speakers, I'm usually sitting there like at the sound disparity. Feedback is much appreciated breh
You might have the best ear on the coli
@ThaRealness
Good shyt breh, had to vote for you off of the drums alone
I was nicer a year or 2 ago. How can I get that passion back?
