One thing about Mugens beats are .... they're not wack, at all, they're always dope. If he sticks to this for another 1 or 2 years he'll understand himself whats missing and whats needed for his productions. Mugens beats remind me of how I used to produce when I was younger .... they're fukking fire productions but he just needs to learn how to make them complete, mixing ... transitions ..

Had to go with Cuzinq cos he came with a new style (for this battle, I havent heard his previous shyt) and it happened to the be the type of style I love, he mixed it down very nice, very soulful.

and at 1:15 he got a line where he say “Ha haaaa”

I know that might come off strange to some but to me it’s like of course lol I rock with the track fam

This is a tuff one to judge mugens melody with the left and right panning and the releasing of the synths early was dope af but the mix could be a lil better. Cuzinq had a solid track everything was on point, nice sample choice... Going to have to give both beats more plays before i vote:ehh:

@Mugen You definitely have a talent for drum patterns. The mix this time isn't all that bad either. With this one it's more sound choice and overall production. The lead you use throughout the track gets menotness after a while and the fact that the lead has high frequency with in it, hurts the ears after a while. If you sub out that sound for another one at a point- say for your verses then you achieve 2 things- you give the ear something my relaxing to listen to, and you have a different element distinguishing from verse and hook sections. The good of the record is definitely the drum patterns. if you can build on your pattern skills this can be even better.

@CuzinQ
This has a nice jazzy vibe to it. great drum loop choice as well.

My vote for this one is going to @CuzinQ

Great matchup.

Mugen. Love the electric sound of your beat. That gritty Lead is really nice.
It sounds like a nice basis for a great beat but overall it felt kinda unfinished to me. I expected more instruments to come in. But the idea is really dope.

CuzinQ had a CRAZY drum line. The sample is really lush and jazzy. I personally would've added a bassline maybe but the track knocks. Dope!

Went with @CuzinQ

Prolly the best complete beat I've heard from Mugen so far. Like this one is missing the least amount of elements to make it dope whereas the other 2 needed way more shyt (although the sample beat he aint use originally was almost there) Love the sinister vibe. Track is hard. Just needs some transitions and maybe put some banging ass drums on there and you got a fire joint. Dope foundation for something greater.

With that said Cuzin took this shyt. Just the superior beat. Vibe is cool. Sound like some shyt them Griselda nikkas might rap on. Mix is clean and dirty at the same time. Dope shyt.

I went with Mugen because I like the aggressiveness of the track. I dig the synth sound chosen too..

I want to guitar solo over that bish.:steviej:

It reminds me of Jimi Hendrix-Foxy Lady for some reason.

Drum patterns are fire as well...I can't seem to get those hihat rolls sounding clean on my mpc live but on FL studio they're so easy.

When I cop full version I could reopen the file and strip it for you if I saved the FLP. I could send you the drum pattern alone too.

that’s what I mainly do with making music lol I make chops and samples/drum patterns for people.

primarily why things I make don’t come off as complete is because most times they’re reference or pieces for others to use.

I’ll make a hip hop sample and it send it to my house and footwork friends to use. It’s just fun.

ok @Mugen I'm going to give you your props that shyt was hard. I didn't even know you had that style in you :ehh:
Made me rethink how I'm going to have to whip your ass when this is over :mjlit:
It was pretty gangsta...but the problem is at this point you got to get your melody game up. Hell you should take @O Fenômeno up on his offer to add guitar to it. that shyt would be nasty :hhh: hell you might need to team up for this next tourney we were discussing :ohhh:
@CuzinQ beat was dope as always. But for some reason I think Q is still skating. He hasn't really hit us with any of that epic shyt I have seen him pull out his bag of tricks.
Actually I'm going to vote for @Mugen cause he at least tried to stand up to the challenge and came with some heat. :salute: to you both
