Yo Juicy, you gotta rethink how you approach these beats. Start picking the right sounds that blend together instead of ones that cause all that chaos. The beat just sounds all over the place bro. You tried to throw in as many drums/percussions as possible and it ruined the vibe of the track, scale back on the unnecessary sounds homie. Keep doing ya thing.

Overdrive got this. His joint is more focused and its the better beat. Good job.

I really didn't feel either beat, but Overdrive took it just based off being smoother and overall more complete sounding.

For a hip hop beat I'd choose Overdrive, but Taco has that rave underground feeling to his beat. Makes me want to slam an ecstasy pill and bug out.

I'll have to think about this one, but I'm leaning towards Overdrive.

so i got this rep from @LilJuicyTaco

I don't take old Aretha Franklin records and speed them up, my tracks are sampleless, made from scratch. All of the sounds used I consider to be necessary and if removed the track would sound like it's missing something.

umm...wtf? don't try to disrespect me or anyone that samples because you can't take criticism. Having no samples doesn't mean jack shyt. If it's wack, it's wack.

Your beat needed more work, sampled or 100% composed. Don't get emotional, get better. I am not the only one that felt this way because you are currently losing 12-2. That's quite a few neg reps to hand out bro.

I'm not gonna sit here and give you nikkas credit for trying, this ain't pre-school. I don't care if this a beat tourney on the-coli. I take this shyt serious so I will judge everyone accordingly. I will only vote on good shyt. If I don't think you took the time to polish your beats I am going to vote against it, period. That includes proper sampling and chopping, proper instrumentation, sequencing, breakdowns, looping, drum and percussion work.

overdrive got this one, good soundtrack music, vivid ish. Taco had something going though, I freestyled over it and caught the flow, just had too many claps in it, stripped down a bit that beat would be a problem. ,

:umad: Looks like you are the only one who got emotional posting this over a positive rep. I hate when people say someone can't take criticism when you respond to theirs. I just explained to you how I make my beats and why I do what I do. If I cared about the votes/criticism I wouldn't have entered again after I lost the first round. The rep was more about you understanding the beat instead of just dismissing it because you didn't like the sound. I still feel the record was well produced as far as the samples, breakdowns, melody, mixing etc. regardless if the vibe wasn't what you personally enjoyed. That was the gist of my rep not to sway your vote or get props from you.

If you got offended that's your problem but you look like a hoe right now running in here playing to the crowd over something that wasn't meant as disrespect. Anyway I repeat, yous a hoe for this mayne real talk. You take this a little too seriously and you just aren't important like that.

PewPew shut up man seriously. How the fukk is a positive rep with two sentences describing my process a spazz? Idiot!

@LilJuicyTaco I don't care about the rep, it's the bitter ass quote that rubbed me the wrong way. Learn to take criticism and apply it to your music, don't go off disrespecting other forms of making music because your beat wasn't liked by someone other than yourself. You wouldn't even be on this website or listening to hip-hop if it wasn't for sampling. Learn you history and show some respect. There is nothing special about your process of making beats, it's the product at the end that speaks for itself.

now..

I understood the beat. It's not the "sound" of it I didn't like, I listen to all genres of music, it's the clashing of instruments/drums/percussions/samples that I didn't like. There is a big difference. It sounds amateur and rushed. I have been giving detailed feedback to damn near every battle I vote on and you are the only one to get this emotional over someone not saying "good job". I'm not gonna pat you on the back for making a beat, my ear for this wont allow me to do that, period. If I hear something that doesn't sound right I am going to let you know about it.

You want to do a specific sound. Do it right. Don't just throw a bunch of things in there and expect nikkas to like it, because YOU like it. The beat is a mess. That is what it sounds like and i am not the only one who felt that way. Norman said if it was stripped down it would be better and I agree. You tried to do too much and it didn't work out right.

The beat doesn't have a proper direction. It lacks focus, you seriously cant hear how "off" it is?

and yo nikka, learn to talk to ppl. You want respect, give it. You sound like a lil boy right now. You're not talking to a fukking baby over here, so cut all that dumb shyt out.
